About

We're Cameron and Joel — a designer and an engineer who ship together. We don't sell digital marketing, and we don't pretend to be a bigger studio than we are.

QDev is two people. That's the whole studio, and it's on purpose. There's no design-versus-dev gap because the designer and the engineer are the same two people in the same week — no brief thrown over a wall, no “we'll send this to our developers.”

We work with founders, design leads, and solo engineers who'd rather talk to the people doing the work than the people managing them. We price by project, take a handful a year, and turn down briefs we can't scope.

Rule 01

No fake scale. The studio is small because the work gets better when the people making the call are also making the thing.

Rule 02

No soft handoff. Design, engineering, motion, copy, and performance are judged together.

Rule 03

No decorative proof. If a metric, quote, logo, or screenshot is not real, it does not ship as real.

Cameron

Design

Cameron leads design — product UI and UX, brand systems, and the design systems underneath. Before QDev he designed FCA-regulated journeys and a design system at Admiral. He picked the persimmon.

Joel

Engineering

Joel leads engineering — production web apps, performance, and the integrations that hold them together. A Next.js, TypeScript, and Postgres bias, and a low tolerance for pages that look fast but aren't.

Cameron picked the persimmon. Joel argued for cobalt for forty minutes. Cameron won.

Two people. Say hello to both.

No account managers, no intake form that goes nowhere. You'll hear back from Cameron or Joel.
